Using historic photographs, this building was reconstructed to duplicate  the original Royal Northwest Mounted Police Post located in Beaver City in  1914-1915.  Built using traditional  construction methods, comprising of hand hewn log walls, rough cut lumber  floor boards and containing local, regional and national artifacts, this  16x24 post brings the past to life.
                  The Royal Northwest Mounted Police Post Museum  is located at the Creighton Recreation Culture & Tourism Centre at 216  Creighton Avenue and is a seasonal museum that is open in the summer months. 
                 
                Located on  Moody Drive in Denare Beach, it is open July to early September and features  birch bark bitings, Native American crafts, old pottery and artifacts of the  Fort Henry site. Call 362-2141 for more information. 
                 
Located on Hwy10A across from the Flintoba Shopping Center, the Flin Flon  Station Museum exhibits items from the pioneering period as well as tools and  impressive minerals belonging to the Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting  Company.  
 
The statue of Josiah  Flintabbatey Flonatin overlooks the highway coming into Flin Flon.  The story of Josiah is based on the novel,  “The Sunless City”, that was found by prospectors who eventually discovered  Flin Flon and gave the city its name after the character in the book.  To this day, Flin Flon is still the only  place in the world named after a science fiction character.                 
                Conveniently  located just off Highway #10, it is a  perfect stop for history, information and souvenirs.   Open 800 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. every day, a stop well worth it.
